Live Commentary: Queens Park Rangers 1-1 Everton - as it happened

Sports Mole brings you live updates as bottom-of-the-table Queens Park Rangers play host to Everton.

Good afternoon and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of Everton's Premier League trip to the home of Queens Park Rangers.

It would be fair to say that it has not been the best of starts for Mark Hughes's R's so far this season. Despite a lot of investment over the summer, they are currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

In contrast, David Moyes's Everton had earned themselves a number of plaudits. Traditionally they are slow starters but not this year.

The form book points to an Everton win - can QPR upset the odds? Stay tuned with us to find out.

5.56pmThat's about all we have time for. Thanks for joining our coverage today. Be sure to look out for analysis from Loftus Road, which will be coming your way shortly.

5.55pmEverton boss Moyes will take that hard-working point I think, particularly after they went down to 10 men. QPR did okay, but you get the impression that they will see it as a missed opportunity to claim their first win of the season.

5.54pmFULL TIME: QPR 1-1 Everton

90+3 minBOOKING! Late booking for Granero for a late challenge on Naismith. The Spanish midfielder can have no complaints.

90+2 minQPR are pushing hard but Everton, and in particular Jagielka, are standing firm. The England defender has been rock solid today.

90 minWe're going to have at least four minutes of stoppage time. Plenty of time for a winning goal.

85 minOh dear! He's normally so composed in those situations but Baines goes closer to finding row Z then the back of the net.

85 minEverton have a free kick in a very dangerous position around 20 yards from goal. What can Baines conjure up?

83 minSUBSTITUTION: Frontman Jelavic comes off from Everton and Heitinga comes on. Meanwhile, veteran Nelsen has a breather for QPR and Anton Ferdinand enters the action.

82 minSAVE! It's been a frustrating couple of minutes for Hoilett, who sees a curling effort pushed clear by Howard. The American keeper is doing over time at the moment!

80 minPENALTY APPEAL! Big, big shout for penalty from QPR. Hoilett catches Seamus Coleman napping and nips in. The winger then hits the deck following a challenge by Coleman. However, replays show that the Everton man just got a touch on the ball.

79 minIt's now QPR who are in control. Everton have taken to booting the ball up field in the hope that Jelavic can gain possession. It's not working though and QPR are mounting attack after attack.

76 minSAVE! The Everton defence allows Hoilett time and space to shoot but thankfully for the away side Howard gets down to save his effort from 20 yards. The rebound falls to Granero, who lashes the ball high and wide.

74 minDespite their numerical advantage I cannot recall QPR testing Howard in the Everton goal. Perhaps the introduction of Cisse will changes things, although he is looking a little isolated at present.

72 minSUBSTITUTION: Double change for the R's as Traore and Zamora come off, with Cisse and Onuoha entering the action.

67 minBOOKING! QPR's Diakite goes into the book for a trip on Mirallas. He's a red card specialist and now has 23 minutes to avoid a second yellow!

65 minCHANCE! Everton show they are still a threat despite being down to 10 men as Mirallas heads over Baines's cross.

62 minHaving been booked earlier in the match, Pienaar runs out of chances with referee Jonathan Moss and is handed his second caution for a trip on Bosingwa. Big chance for QPR to go on and take all three points now.

61 minRED CARD! Pienaar (Everton)

58 minQPR are now coming into the game without really threatening Everton. The R's are not exactly attacking in numbers.

53 minSUBSTITUTION: First change of the match for Everton sees Anichebe trudge off and Steven Naismith enter the action.

51 minGREAT CHALLENGE! Samba Diakite drills in a low cross for Park who looks certain to score for QPR. Jagielka has other ideas though and retreats to make a last-ditch tackle.

50 minVery little to write home about during the opening exchanges of the second half. Everton have perhaps been the better side but they haven't tested Cesar in the home goal.

5.04pmThe players are out and Everton kick the second half off...

4.57pmThe travelling Toffees have had just one shot on target from their three efforts. They have hit the woodwork twice though.

4.56pmA quick look at the stats shows that QPR have edged the possession with 54% of the ball. They've also had five shots, two of which were on target.

4.51pmWhile we wait for the second half, take a look at our half-time report of all the events from Loftus Road.

4.50pmMark Hughes will probably be satisfied with what he has seen so far. He will probably have some choice words for his defenders though following Everton's equaliser. Talking of the Toffees, they've grown into the match following a slow start.

4.49pmHALF-TIME: QPR 1-1 Everton

45+1 minHe's up now though, albeit looking a little groggy. He'll be assessed a half-time I would imagine.

45+1 minHowever, it may be a bit longer than that as Anichebe goes down with a head injury. The Nigerian striker looks in a lot of discomfort.

45 minTwo minutes of stoppage time to be played...

44 minReally good football involving Taarabt, Granero and Bosingwa ends with Jagielka glancing clear as Park lurked at the back post.

40 minQPR have now settled after that sticky patch. They could do with getting Taarabt in the game a bit more though. He has that creative ability that could open up the Everton defence.

36 minInjured Everton midfielder Darron Gibson is happy man after that equaliser: "Yes Sylv get in," he wrote on Twitter.

34 minOFF THE BAR! Everton almost score two in a minute. Baines's corner is met by Phil Jagielka, who powers his header against the woodwork. QPR are wobbling.

34 minWell there was very little Park could have done to stop that goal! Distin rises unmarked in the area and heads against the post. Unfortunately for Cesar the ball cannons back off the post, hits him and then trickles over the line.

32 minGOAL! QPR 1-1 Everton (Cesar OG)

32 minAnother player to shine so far for QPR has been their skipper Park Ji-Sung. He's been put on the right wing to help nullify the threat of Baines and Pienaar and so far it has worked a treat.

26 minThe intensity of this match has dropped a little. Everton are shading the possession, but QPR seem content to let them have the ball as they are struggling to get into threatening positions at the moment.

22 minCHANCE! A whipped free kick from Granero is met by the head of Nelsen. However, the veteran cannot keep his headed effort down and the chance goes begging for QPR.

20 minEverton are now beginning to impose themselves on the game. The likes of Pienaar and Jelavic are seeing a lot more of the ball. QPR will need to keep an eye on that.

16 minSAVE! But it's not Baines who hits it. Instead, Nikica Jelavic fires goalwards but Cesar is on hand to palm away the danger.

15 minEverton have a free kick in a dangerous area as Granero trips up Pienaar. This is Baines territory...

13 minHoilett is also playing extremely well. He's picking the ball up in good areas where QPR are concerned. It makes you wonder why he hasn't featured on a more regular basis this season.

11 minZamora is working extremely hard out there. Being a lone striker he is having to put pressure on four Everton defenders and he has taken to the task brilliantly so far.

8 minCHANCE! Everton's keeper Howard slips and can only find Adel Taarabt with his clearance. The attacker finds Traore on the left, who drilled in a cross that Zamora was just inches away from converting.

6 minQPR are looking like a transformed team at the moment. It's amazing what an early goal can do! They're first to every loose ball and are controlling this match.

3 minWhat a start for QPR! Hoilett collects Cesar's punch from that corner and proceeds to run at the Everton defence, who back off. He eventually pulls the trigger 25 yards from goal and the ball deflects off Baines, leaving Tim Howard no chance in the away goal.

2 minGOAL! QPR 1-0 Everton (Hoilett)

2 min...And Bosingwa hacks the ball away for another corner, which is punched clear by Julio Cesar. Good goalkeeping.

1 minCorrection, Baines to take...

1 minEarly corner for Everton as Coleman's cross is blocked by Traore. Pienaar to take...

4.00pmStruggling QPR get this match underway...

3.56pmAnd here come the players to a noisy reception. Big 90 minutes ahead for both teams...

3.55pmIt's an attacking lineup from David Moyes. The imposing figure of Marouane Fellaini may be absent, but the front three of Kevin Mirallas, Nikica Jelavic and Victor Anichebe all start at Loftus Road.

3.54pmEverton X1: Howard; Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Coleman; Neville, Osman, Pienaar; Mirallas, Jelavic, Anichebe

3.53pmInteresting that Hughes has opted to start with Bobby Zamora as a lone frontman. Also, Anton Ferdinand, who opted not to wear a 'Kick it Out' t-shirt during the warm-up, has been dropped to the bench.

3.52pmQPR X1: Cesar; Diakite, Traore, Bosingwa, Nelsen; Park, Taarabt, Granero, Mbia; Hoilett; Zamora

3.50pmWith that in mind, let's take a look at the players charged with the task of picking up QPR's first three points...

3.47pmIt's early days and there may some QPR supporters that will take exception to this but this has the feeling of a 'must win game' for the hosts. They are to yet to taste a victory this season.

3.43pmAfternoon one and all. We have an interesting 90 minutes ahead in West London, let's hope that it doesn't disappoint.
