Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba close to new Juventus deals

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta is confident that admired duo Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal will soon put pen to paper on new contracts at Serie A club.

Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta anticipates that there will be 'no problems' in tying down key duo Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba to new contracts.

Claudio Marchisio and Giorgio Chiellini are also in negotiations over an extension with the Italian giants, but Vidal and Pogba's futures are more pressing concerns as they have been linked with moves away.

Arsenal are reportedly tracking 20-year-old France international midfielder Pogba, whose former club Manchester United are believed to be interested in Chilean playmaker Vidal, but Marotta is confident that Juve can retain the services of both players.

He told Sky Italia: "At this time we are going to revisit the contracts of many players who have proven their talent and met our expectations.

"This covers even those whose contracts are still a long way off from expiring, including Marchisio and Chiellini. With Vidal, there is no problem.

"He is still our player who, despite the sirens ringing outside calling his departure, still wants to stay with the club and we are delighted with his commitment. The same can be said for Pogba."

Vidal is the Old Lady's joint-top Serie A scorer so far this season with three goals, while Pogba is one of only two Juventus players who have started all six of their league matches this term.
