Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton has claimed that he won't be surprised if Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand never wears an England shirt again.

The 34-year-old snubbed manager Roy Hodgson's call-up into the squad for the Three Lions' World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro, despite not playing for his country since June 2011.
