Daniel Agger wants Liverpool to take their cup form into the league as the Reds target a Champions League place.

Daniel Agger has targeted a top-four place following Liverpool's week of cup success.

The Danish defender scored as the Reds knocked great rivals Manchester United out of the FA Cup on Saturday to add to their progress into the Carling Cup final with an aggregate victory over Manchester City earlier in the week.

Now Agger wants his side to transfer their cup form into the league and build towards Champions League qualification.

"It's been the perfect week for Liverpool in the cups, definitely. We got what we wanted," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"We always take confidence going forward when we win, but to win in the cup and get through to the next round gives you more confidence.

"It is an important game at Wolves. We want to get further up the table. It is not good enough where we are now, so we need the three points."

Agger has made 157 appearances for Liverpool since joining from native side Brondby in 2006.
