Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Chelsea at Wembley.

In-form Manchester United will switch their focus from the top-four race to the FA Cup on Sunday when they take on Chelsea in the semi-final at Wembley.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are on a 19-match unbeaten run across all competitions stretching back to January - their longest undefeated streak in a decade.

The Red Devils will now look to reach a record 21st FA Cup final as they face a Chelsea side that sits only one point above them in the Premier League table.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Luke Shaw

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: July 19 (vs. Chelsea)

Luke Shaw suffered a nasty-looking twisted ankle against former club Southampton, but Solskjaer has suggested that it was nothing more serious and the full-back seems to have avoided damage to his ligaments. He remains a doubt for this match, but should feature again this season.

Brandon Williams

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Facial
Possible return date: July 19 (vs. Chelsea)

Brandon Williams was the second left-back to fall against Southampton after picking up a cut to his eye that left blood streaming down his face, but there are not thought to be any concussion concerns and so the youngster should be in contention for this match.

Axel Tuanzebe

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: Unknown

Axel Tuanzebe will miss the remainder of the season with an unspecified injury he picked up shortly before play resumed after lockdown. Solskjaer does not expect the defender back until September.

Phil Jones

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: Unknown

Phil Jones is still "a few weeks" away from returning to training, leaving him highly unlikely to feature again in United's domestic campaign and also in a race against time to be available for the Europa League in August.

MAN UTD'S SUSPENSION LIST

United have no players suspended for this semi-final.
