How Manchester City could line up against Crystal Palace

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up against Crystal Palace for Saturday afternoon's Premier League clash.

Manchester City will be looking to make it 10 home Premier League wins in a row to start their season for the third time in eight campaigns when they play host to Crystal Palace.

The Citizens have picked up maximum points so far at the Etihad Stadium, scoring 33 times and conceding six, yet they still trail league leaders Liverpool by a point.

Amid a run of nine games in the space of a month, Pep Guardiola is expected to continue his rotation policy for this weekend's showdown with Prem strugglers Palace.

Ahead of Saturday afternoon's clash, Sports Mole looks at how the champions could line up.

Possible MCI XI vs. PAL

Out: David Silva (hamstring), Claudio Bravo (Achilles), Eliaquim Mangala (knee), Benjamin Mendy (knee)
Doubtful: Danilo (knock), Vincent Kompany (muscular)

Guardiola welcomed Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero back to his starting lineup for the midweek EFL Cup win against Leicester City - two of eight changes from the 3-1 triumph over Everton last weekend.

De Bruyne netted City's opener on his first start in more than six weeks and could well be retained for the visit of Palace, but Aguero is expected to make way for Gabriel Jesus, who bagged a morale-boosting brace against the Toffees.

Riyad Mahrez is one three players to have started the Citizens' last two matches, so the Algerian winger should be given a breather on Saturday, opening the door for in-form duo Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling to patrol the flanks.

Elsewhere, Fabian Delph is likely to take over from Oleksandr Zinchenko at left-back in the absence of Mendy, while Nicolas Otamendi is another in need of a rest at centre-back.
