Liverpool are unchanged from the lineup that started last weekend's Merseyside Derby.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has named an unchanged side from last weekend's 2-2 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.

Young wide players Suso and Raheem Starling retain their place for Newcastle United's visit to Anfield, as does goalkeeper Brad Jones.

There are no surprises from Alan Pardew, who has partnered Papiss Cisse and Demba Ba in attack, supported from midfield by Hatem Ben Arfa.

Vurnon Anita, Yohan Cabaye and Jonas Gutierrez make up the rest of the midfield, while Fabrizio Coloccini and Steven Taylor make up a familiar central defensive pairing.

Liverpool: Jones; Wisdom, Enrique, Agger, Skrtel; Sahin, Gerrard, Allen; Suso, Sterling; Suarez

Newcastle: Krul; Perch, Coloccini, S. Taylor, Santon; Anita, Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Gutierrez; Cisse, Ba
