Georginio Wijnaldum admits that he is 'not completely happy' at Paris Saint-Germain having struggled to make an impact since his summer switch from Liverpool.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has conceded that he is not "completely happy" at the club following his move from Liverpool.

The Netherlands international completed a free transfer to the Parc des Princes after running down his Liverpool deal, but he has struggled to make an impact under Mauricio Pochettino so far.

Wijnaldum's move to PSG came after he was heavily linked with a switch to Barcelona, and the midfielder has admitted that the situation has not been ideal for him.

Speaking to NOS, Wijnaldum said: "I can't say I'm completely happy because the situation is not what I wanted. But that's football and I'll have to learn to deal with that. I'm a fighter. I have to stay positive and work hard to turn it around.

"I have played a lot in recent years, was always fit and also did very well. This is something different and that takes getting used to. I was really looking forward to the new step and then this happens. It is very difficult."

Wijnaldum is without a goal or assist in his first 11 games for PSG across all tournaments, and he has started five of his side's nine Ligue 1 matches so far this season.
