Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Liverpool travel to the Midlands on Thursday to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux, with the Reds still on course to go the entire Premier League season unbeaten.

The Anfield club have been in imperious form in the league this season and took a giant step towards the title on Sunday after their 2-0 win at home against Manchester United.

Wolves can be a tough opponent, though, and currently sit sixth in the Premier League, having lost just twice at home this season.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this fixture.

Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 29 (vs. West Ham United)

Xherdan Shaqiri has missed much of Liverpool's season so far, with the Swiss international suffering from a string of calf injuries. The former Stoke City man has made just six Premier League appearances this term, but could make his return this month.

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: January 26 (vs. West Ham United)

Dejan Lovren has been missing since Liverpool's win over Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League but is now closing in on a return for the Reds. The 30-year-old will have work to do if he is going to regain his spot though, with Joe Gomez impressing in his absence.

Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

Naby Keita was just starting to nail down a spot in the Liverpool starting lineup when he was cruelly struck down with a knee injury in December. The Guinea international has only made five Premier League appearances this season because of injury and does not currently have an expected return date.

Nathaniel Clyne
