Liverpool team news: Predicted XI vs. Burnley

Sports Mole looks at how Liverpool could line up for Wednesday's Premier League visit to Burnley, with Sadio Mane and Andrew Robertson both doubtful for the match.

Liverpool will be looking to harness the momentum from their dramatic last-gasp victory over Everton in the Merseyside derby when they take on struggling Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.

Divock Origi's bizarre 96th-minute winner handed the Reds a crucial win which keeps them within two points of Manchester City at the top of the table and still unbeaten after 14 games.

The matches come thick and fast in December, though, and they will have just four days before facing a Burnley side languishing in the relegation zone.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Jurgen Klopp could set his side up at Turf Moor.

Possible LIV XI vs. BUR

Out: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee)
Doubtful: Sadio Mane (foot), Andrew Robertson (dead leg), Adam Lallana (muscle), Dominic Solanke (groin)

Changes could be in the offing as Liverpool enter a busy December period, particularly with a couple of players feeling the effects of a hard-fought Merseyside derby.

Klopp revealed after the match that Sadio Mane had suffered a cut to his foot which makes him a doubt for this match, while Andrew Robertson has a dead leg and could miss out to Alberto Moreno.

Captain Jordan Henderson is available once again after missing the derby through suspension and should come straight back into the side, and Klopp could choose to change his entire midfield having seen them struggle at times against Everton.

Naby Keita is pushing for a start while James Milner is another option should the German decide to rest Georginio Wijnaldum and leave out Fabinho.

Roberto Firmino put in a under-par display against the Toffees and Klopp could also take the chance to rest the Brazilian, with Daniel Sturridge most likely to replace him despite Origi's match-winning cameo on Sunday.

There could also be changes at the back, with Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip pushing for recalls alongside Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the defence.
