How Juventus could line up against Ajax

Ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League quarter-final second leg between Juventus and Ajax in Turin, Sports Mole looks at how the hosts could line up.

Juventus are within 90 minutes of a third Champions League semi-final appearance in five years thanks to last week's 1-1 draw with Ajax in Amsterdam.

The Bianconeri bagged a vital away goal through Cristiano Ronaldo, ensuring that the onus is on their opponents to score in Tuesday night's second leg.

Juve have lost two of their last five European home games, though, and they also suffered a shock domestic loss at the weekend as they went down 2-1 to lowly SPAL.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Massimiliano Allegri could set out his side at the Allianz Stadium.

Possible JUV XI vs. AJA

Out: Emre Can
Doubtful: Juan Cuadrado, Giorgio Chiellini, Martin Caceres, Blaise Matuidi

Allegri made nine changes to his starting lineup for the loss to SPAL, retaining only Joao Cancelo and Rodrigo Bentancur from the draw in the Netherlands.

Both players are expected to start once again on Tuesday, joined in the side by the likes of Miralem Pjanic, Matuidi, Daniele Rugani and Ronaldo, who has scored in his last five Champions League games against Ajax, netting eight goals in total.

Matuidi hobbled off in the first leg, though, and his place in the side is therefore not guaranteed.

Chiellini is also likely to return from injury, which is also the case for Can, so changes from the first leg are likely to be minimal.
