Chelsea reportedly identify Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic as an ideal alternative to Erling Braut Haaland.

Chelsea have reportedly turned their attention to Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic as they eye attacking reinforcements.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a stellar Bundesliga campaign with the German club last term, racking up 16 goals and six assists in 33 top-flight appearances.

Kalajdzic was rewarded for his performances with a place in Austria's Euro 2020 squad, and he scored a memorable goal against Italy in the last 16 before his side lost 2-1 after extra time.

Tottenham Hotspur and Borussia Dortmund have both been credited with an interest in Kalajdzic, but according to The Athletic, Thomas Tuchel is eyeing a swoop for the Stuttgart man.

Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland is still thought to be Chelsea's number one target for the summer window, but the Norwegian has hinted that he is preparing to stay at the Westfalenstadion for the 2021-22 season.

Kalajdzic's deal at Stuttgart is due to expire at the end of the 2022-23 season, and he previously scored 12 goals and assisted 12 more in 35 games for Austrian side Admira Wacker.
