Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte hands a recall to Eden Hazard for the Premier League clash with Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has handed a recall to Eden Hazard for the Premier League clash with Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard was only named on the bench for Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Swansea City, but the Belgian winger is one of a number of players to be given a start against the Magpies.

Cesar Azpilicueta replaces Gary Cahill at the back, while Victor Moses is given his first start since suffering a hamstring injury in the middle of October.

Danny Drinkwater takes his spot alongside N'Golo Kante in midfield, with Willian and Pedro dropping down to the bench and Michy Batshuayi featuring among the replacements after a foot problem.

As for Newcastle, Rafael Benitez - on his first return to Chelsea since leading the club to the 2013 Europa League - has opted to replace Joselu with Dwight Gayle.

The change in striker is one of three alterations, with Javier Manquillo and Mohamed Diame replacing DeAndre Yedlin and Isaac Hayden.

Chelsea: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger; Moses, Kante, Drinkwater, Fabregas, Alonso; Hazard, Morata
Subs: Caballero, Zappacosta, Cahill, Bakayoko, Willian, Pedro, Batshuayi

Newcastle United: Darlow; Manquillo, Clark, Lejeune, Mbemba; Ritchie, Merino, Diame, Murphy, Perez; Gayle
Subs: Elliot, Yedlin, Hayden, Shelvey, Aarons, Joselu, Mitrovic
