Real Madrid are reportedly planning to offer Jose Mourinho a new deal to ward off interest from Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho is on the brink of signing a lucrative new contract at Real Madrid, according to a report.

The Spanish champions are keen to secure the Portuguese coach's services long-term in a bid to ward off interest from Chelsea.

Real president Florentino Perez is ready to offer Mourinho a contract worth £190,000 per week to keep him at the club until 2015, The Sun understands.

"We are very, very close to clinching an agreement," said a source close to the club.

"Talks have gone extremely well and Jose now has the new contract and we are just waiting for him to sign."

Real, who clinched the La Liga crown this week with a 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao, beat bitter rivals Barcelona to the title with two matches remaining.
