As clubs and players enter the final month of 2024, the prospect of finishing the calendar year as Europe's leading scorer remains a possible one for a handful of forwards.
Sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres is currently the clear favourite following an incredible year that has seen him emerge as one of the continent's most prolific goal-getters, earning links to some of the world's biggest clubs as a result.
The Swede's chances of claiming the accolade of leading scorer of 2024 were boosted by an injury to his closest challenger, Harry Kane, too, although the Bayern Munich man could still recover for one final shot before the end of the year.
Other familiar names such as Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland are also in the running, while there are also plenty of less highly-regarded players who will be hoping to end a positive year on a high.
