Saturday's Championship predictions including Bournemouth vs. Reading

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship action, including Bournemouth vs. Reading.

Bournemouth vs. Reading (Saturday, 12.30pm)

It is fourth versus first in the Championship at lunchtime on Saturday as Bournemouth host Reading.

The Royals are on a three-game losing streak and would be overtaken by the Cherries if they lose on the South Coast.

We say: Bournemouth 1-0 Reading

Reading will be hoping to start afresh after the international break, but a trip to Bournemouth could be as tough as it gets in the Championship this season and the Royals may slip to a fourth successive defeat against a Cherries side who hit top gear against Birmingham two weeks ago.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Barnsley vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Two sides battling it out in the bottom half of the table come together on Saturday afternoon as Barnsley host Nottingham Forest at Oakwell.

Despite their league position, both teams have turned a corner of late and will be looking to continue that form in what could be viewed as an early-season six-pointer.

Before the international break, Barnsley swept Derby County aside in a 2-0 win, while Forest came out on top at home to Wycombe Wanderers.

We say: Barnsley 1-1 Nottingham Forest

These two have seemingly turned a corner in recent weeks, and both will be desperate to start well after the international break. We see a draw being the most likely result, as though both sides will be eyeing three points, they are also likely to settle for just one.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Bristol City vs. Derby (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Derby County's Wayne Rooney pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Saturday sees the coming together of two sides facing different types of turmoil, as managerless Derby County travel to a COVID-19-hit Bristol City.

Former Dutch international Phillip Cocu left by mutual consent as Derby County hit the bottom of the table after a 2-0 home defeat to Barnsley.

Despite their decent league standing, it will be the pandemic that threatens to stand in City's way after they were forced to shut down their training ground after an outbreak of the virus.

We say: Bristol City 2-0 Derby County

Though we are likely to see some form of revival from Derby, as is often the case when new management takes charge, we see City being too strong for the Rams and expect them to secure their seventh win of the season.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Luton vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackburn Rovers will be aiming to overtake Luton Town in the Championship table when the two sides meet on Saturday afternoon.

Rovers head into the weekend in 12th position, three points behind Luton in 10th but with a superior goal difference.

We say: Luton Town 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn have been strengthened by the return of a number of players over the international break and are always a threat offensively, so they could have too much for a Luton side who battle hard but are ineffective going forward themselves.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Middlesbrough vs. Norwich (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock pictured on November 7, 2020© Reuters

Two sides boasting lengthy unbeaten records lock horns this coming Saturday as a stubborn Middlesbrough side welcome Norwich City to the Riverside Stadium.

The Canaries extended their unbeaten run to seven matches with a win at home to Swansea City just before the international break, while Boro still hold the longest unbeaten run in the country having nullified a free-scoring Brentford team to go 10 games unbeaten.

We say: Middlesbrough 0-0 Norwich City

Of the last seven league games Boro have won at home, they have scored first six times. Place that statistic alongside Boro's defensive record, and we would say that if Boro can get on top, it will be hard for Norwich to turn this one around. Given the recent form of both sides, though, we see this one finishing honours even, and condemning Boro to a third straight draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Millwall vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Cardiff City's Harry Wilson celebrates scoring with teammates against Barnsley on November 3, 2020© Reuters

Millwall and Cardiff City will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Championship this weekend when they face off at The Den.

The visitors have won just one of their last six matches and are down in 15th, four points adrift of a Millwall side without a victory in three.

We say: Millwall 1-1 Cardiff City

Millwall and Cardiff could do with a victory on Saturday in what should be a tight contest. Both sides have drawn nine games between them this term and, given the outcome of their last five meetings, we can see the points being shared this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Preston vs. Sheff Weds (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Boro boss Tony Pulis cuts a frustrated figure on May 5, 2019© Reuters

Tony Pulis's first game in charge of new club Sheffield Wednesday will take place away to Preston North End, as he looks to turn things around for the Owls.

The hosts currently sit in 14th place in the table having lost away to Rotherham United 2-1 last time out, while the visitors are in 23rd after their 0-0 draw with Millwall.

We say: Preston North End 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday

We expect Pulis's men to arrive at Deepdale determined to get a result, and with Preston's lacklustre home form in mind, they could well get their wish. The match could end up being a scrappy affair with both sides struggling with injuries, meaning both teams might have to settle for a point apiece.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

QPR vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Andre Gray celebrates with teammates after scoring for Watford against Coventry City in the Championship on November 7, 2020© Reuters

Watford could end the weekend top of the Championship table if they beat Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Currently in second place, the Hornets are just a point behind league leaders Reading, having won their last two games before the international break.

We say: Queens Park Rangers 0-2 Watford

The Championship summit is in Watford's sights, and that could drive them to earn a rare victory away from home. QPR have only won three times this season and they are likely to struggle against the quality in the Hornets side.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Huddersfield (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Stoke City manager Michael O'Neill pictured in October 2020© Reuters

Stoke City play host to Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon looking for the win which may take the club into the top six of the Championship standings.

Having recorded just one victory in five matches, the Terriers make the trip to the bet365 Stadium sitting in 13th position.

We say: Stoke City 2-1 Huddersfield Town

The inconsistencies of both clubs makes this a difficult match to call, particularly after the enforced break. However, despite their struggles to put together two wins in succession, we are backing Stoke to edge a close game in the Potteries.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Swansea vs. Rotherham (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Swansea City's Jay Fulton celebrates with teammates after scoring againt Stoke City in the Championship on October 27, 2020© Reuters

Swansea City will be aiming to break back into the Championship's automatic promotion places when they host Rotherham United on Saturday.

The Swans lost 1-0 to Norwich City before the international break to slip to sixth in the table but are still only three points behind league leaders Reading.

We say: Swansea City 1-0 Rotherham United

Even if they are missing Andre Ayew, Swansea should still overcome a Rotherham side with plenty of injury problems of their own. Paul Warne's men have rarely been outplayed this season though, and they should give a good account of themselves at the Liberty Stadium.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Wycombe vs. Brentford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Brentford manager Thomas Frank pictured on November 7, 2020© Reuters

Brentford face Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Championship to five matches.

Meanwhile, after collecting seven points from four matches, last season's League One playoff winners head into this contest sitting just one point adrift of safety.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 0-3 Brentford

Despite Wycombe's efforts before the international break, we feel that the time to regroup will only benefit Brentford. While the home side could be competitive during the early stages, we are backing the Bees to run out comfortable winners at the weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
