Team News: Mehdi Benatia returns for Bayern Munich against Bayer Leverkusen

Mehdi Benatia returns to the Bayern Munich defence for their Bundesliga meeting with Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.

Mehdi Benatia has returned to the Bayern Munich defence for the Bundesliga clash with Bayer Leverkusen at the Allianz Arena.

Pep Guardiola has made just one change to the side which beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 last Saturday, with Dante dropping to the bench to make way for Benatia.

Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller continue their partnership in attack, with Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Mario Gotze all providing support to the two forwards.

Bayern midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is still not fit enough to start, but he is named on a bench which includes Xherdan Shaqiri and Sebastian Rode.

Roger Schmidt makes two changes to his Leverkusen side following the 5-1 triumph over FC Koln, with Wendell and Omer Toprak both returning in defence to replace Sebastian Boenisch and Roberto Hilbert.
