Christian Gentner: 'Stuttgart can get result against Bayern Munich'

Christian Gentner says that the Stuttgart players owe the fans a performance against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.

Stuttgart midfielder Christian Gentner is confident that his side can upset Bayern Munich when the two teams meet at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Wednesday night.

Gentner, whose side lost to Mainz 05 to begin their second half of the Bundesliga season, said that Stuttgart owe the fans for their performance in that game.

"We see this game as a chance," he told Bundesliga.com. "We want to win back some credit with our fans with a good performance.

"We didn't do what we set out to do against Mainz and we want to be better this time."

Stuttgart are currently in a disappointing 12th place in the league table.
