Barcelona are reportedly prepared to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to keep hold of Philippe Coutinho during this summer's transfer window, with head coach Ronald Koeman 'happy to count on him' next season.

The Brazil international, who is currently recovering from knee surgery, continues to be strongly linked with a move away from Camp Nou ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

Leicester City, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Marseille are all thought to be interested in the playmaker, who still has two years left to run on his contract at Camp Nou.

However, according to ESPN, Barcelona are not prepared to allow the South American to leave on the cheap this summer and will not sanction a loan exit unless a large part of his salary is covered.

The report claims that Coutinho could therefore be handed another chance at Barcelona, despite the fact that he is one of the highest earners at a club that are struggling financially.

The 29-year-old only made 14 appearances last season due to injury but is now working his way back to fitness ahead of the new campaign.
