Team News: Gary Hooper recalled for Aston Villa test

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton recalls striker Gary Hooper to his starting lineup for the visit to Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon.

Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has recalled striker Gary Hooper to his starting lineup for the visit to Aston Villa in the Premier League this afternoon.

The former Celtic forward was benched for the 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur last week, but the 26-year-old returns today and replaces Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Elsewhere, Wes Hoolahan deputises for the injured Leroy Fer as Hughton's only two changes from the win over Spurs.

Meanwhile, Villa manager Paul Lambert has decided against tinkering with his side following last week's 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United, with Christian Benteke and Gabby Agbonlahor continuing in attack for the Villans.

Aston Villa: Guzan; Bacuna, Baker, Vlaar, Bertrand; El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Weimann; Benteke, Agbonlahor

Norwich City: Ruddy; Martin, Yobo, Bassong, Olsson; Tettey, Johnson; Snodgrass, Hoolahan, Redmond; Hooper
