Caretaker coach Shaun North takes charge of Bristol Rovers for the first time on Saturday in their FA Cup third round tie at home to Aston Villa.

Manager Paul Buckle was sacked on Tuesday following a poor run of results which have left Rovers 19th in League Two.

Meanwhile Villa boss Alex McLeish will be looking to get fans back on his side foillowing Monday's 2-0 defeat at home to Swansea City.

Carlos Cuellar misses out for the Premier League side with a hamstring injury, while Ciaran Clark may be rested.

Cuellar aside, McLeish has no new injury concerns ahead of the trip to the Memorial Ground.

Villa were beaten 3-0 in last season's competition by eventual winners Manchester City.

Rovers fared less well, going out in the first round at Darlington.
