Roberto Di Matteo praises his players' spirit following the goalless draw at Arsenal this afternoon.

Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo has expressed his delight at the Blues' performance at Arsenal this afternoon.

A weakened Chelsea lineup managed to grind out a goalless draw at the Emirates in a game of few chances.

"It was a brilliant team performance, you come to the Emirates and it's difficult to play against Arsenal," said the Italian.

"If we'd had a bit more quality with our final pass, that let us down, but apart from that it was a fantastic performance.

"I'm happy with our commitment, we made a lot of changes today, everyone showed they're all Chelsea players."

Chelsea have had a busy week with last Sunday's FA Cup semi-final as well as Wednesday's Champions League triumph over Barcelona and Di Matteo has been delighted with his players' spirit.

"This was our third game in less than six days, the way they've responded to this, personally I think it's crazy, but we showed there's great quality in this team and our spirit is high."

The point saw Chelsea stay sixth in the Premier League and they next take their one-goal lead to the Camp Nou on Wednesday with eyes on the Champions League final.
