Emmanuel Adebayor: 'Hate from rival supporters is funny to me'

Crystal Palace forward Emmanuel Adebayor admits that it is "funny" to be booed by rival supporters.

Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor has admitted that he finds it amusing when supporters boo him during matches.

The 32-year-old was the subject of jeers during Sunday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates.

The Togolese forward spent three years playing for the Gunners before joining Manchester City in 2009.

"I cannot say I'm used to it because it is not good to get used to this kind of stuff, but at the end of the day it is funny, the weather was good, we were playing in London and 20 minutes from my house, I have to be happy," BBC Sport quotes Adebayor as saying.

"If I'm not happy then something is wrong. I have to be happy about where I came from and what I have become today. I have to forget about all the haters."

Adebayor signed for Palace on a free transfer in January.
