How Arsenal could line up against Leeds United

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up in Monday's FA Cup clash with Leeds United.

Arsenal will be looking to book their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup when they welcome Championship leaders Leeds United to the Emirates Stadium on Monday night.

Mikel Arteta picked up his first victory as Gunners boss on Wednesday with Manchester United suffering a 2-0 defeat to the London club.

Arsenal are the most successful team in the history of the FA Cup having lifted the trophy on 13 occasions, although they have been knocked out by Nottingham Forest and Manchester United in the early stages of the last two editions of the competition.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the hosts could line up on Monday night.

Arsenal will definitely be without the services of defensive duo Calum Chambers and Kieran Tierney with the former recently undergoing knee surgery and the latter recovering from a shoulder injury.

Hector Bellerin and Gabriel Martinelli are both seen as doubts with hamstring issues, meanwhile, although Martinelli is being tipped to recover in time to earn a spot in the starting XI.

The gruelling nature of the Premier League fixture list means that Arteta is almost certain to make changes, with fit-again Dani Ceballos and Rob Holding both expected to come into the side.

There should also be a spot for Emiliano Martinez between the sticks, while Reiss Nelson and Bukayo Saka are pushing to be involved from the start having been regulars this term.

Matteo Guendouzi should also be given a role in midfield, with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Granit Xhaka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe set to be rested against the Championship club.
