How Arsenal could line up against Bournemouth

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up for Monday night's FA Cup fourth round tie against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Thirteen-time winners Arsenal will continue their latest bid for FA Cup glory when they visit Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in a fourth-round tie on Monday night.

The Gunners have not made it past this stage of the competition in either of the past two seasons, but go into the game still unbeaten so far in 2020 - albeit off the back of three successive draws.

Like Arsenal, Bournemouth have suffered a disappointing league campaign so far but did end their losing streak with a 3-1 triumph over Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Mikel Arteta could line his side up for the contest.

Possible ARS XI vs. BOU

Out: David Luiz (suspended), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (suspended), Reiss Nelson (hamstring), Sead Kolasinac (thigh), Kieran Tierney (shoulder), Calum Chambers (knee)
Doubtful: Sokratis Papastathopoulos (illness)

Arteta will be without two key players through suspension for this match, with David Luiz joining captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on the sidelines as a result of his red card against Chelsea.

Both players will be back available against Burnley next Sunday, though, as Luiz has only been given a one-game ban whereas Aubameyang is serving the third and final match of his suspension.

Rob Holding is expected to come in for Luiz at the back, while Sokratis Papastathopoulos should also be in contention again after missing out in midweek due to illness.

Gabriel Martinelli caught the eye with his solo goal at Stamford Bridge and Aubameyang's absence is likely to give him another opportunity to impress from the start.

There may also be a rare appearance for Dani Ceballos, whose future beyond the end of his loan spell seems uncertain having so far failed to work his way into Arteta's first-team plans.

Ceballos is one of a number of fringe players who will be hoping to get their chance, with the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Emiliano Martinez and Joe Willock among those in contention.

The Gunners' options are slightly limited by injuries, though, with third-round match-winner Reiss Nelson among those in the treatment room.
