Taylor Swift on course for three new entries in Top 40

Three tracks from Taylor Swift's surprise new album evermore are on course to chart inside the Top 40 this week.

Taylor Swift has three songs in contention to make this week's Top 40 following the release of her surprise new album evermore on Friday.

Lead single 'Willow' is currently at number four in the chart after the first 48 hours of sales, according to the Official Charts Company, with album tracks 'Champagne Problems' and 'No Body No Crime' - the latter featuring Haim - tracking at 12 and 15 respectively.

Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas' finally reached the top spot last week after a 26-year wait and the midweeks suggest that it could be in line for a second week at number one.

Competition comes from Wham's 'Last Christmas', currently at two, while Jess Glynne's 'This Christmas' shoots up 10 places to three.

Most of the midweek Top 10 is made up of festive tunes, with The Pogues, Shakin' Stevens, Justin Bieber, Band Aid and Elton John all riding high with less than a fortnight to go until Christmas Day.
