Channel 4 announces an all-star cast for new comedy-drama series Chivalry.

Channel 4 has confirmed an all-star cast for its new comedy-drama series Chivalry, written by and starring Steve Coogan and Sarah Solemani.

The new show will star Wanda Sykes as studio exec Jean who hires indie filmmaker Bobby (Solemani) to take over a problematic movie called A Little Death, which is being produced by Coogan's character, Cameron.

Sienna Miller plays Lark, the leading actor of the film, while Lolly Adefope is Cameron's ambitious assistant Ama and Robert Lonsdale is Rick, the editor of the movie. Guest stars also announced today include Paul Rudd, Peter Mullan and Amy Landecker.

Talking about the show at the Edinburgh TV Festival on Tuesday, Caroline Hollick, C4's head of drama, said: "Telling this story through a comedy but also a romance feels really distinctively Channel 4 - to take a big issue like Me Too and giving people permission to laugh, while never shying away from the issues, it's a show I'm particularly proud of."

The six-part series, which has been in development since January 2020, has already been filmed and is expected to air later this year or early 2022.
