Vicky Pattison will explore her and her father's relationships with alcohol in a new documentary for Channel 4.

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison will confront her and her father's relationships with alcohol in a new hard-hitting Channel 4 documentary.

The 34-year-old has recently opened up on her own struggles with alcohol - and how she was left horrified by watching herself appearing drunk on reality TV a decade ago.

Pattison's father was a functional alcoholic when she was growing up, and in the documentary the pair talk openly about how his problems affected their family life.

"As many people know by now, I have always been extremely honest about my life, but this is a story I've been wanting to tell for years and I finally feel ready," Pattison said.

"I'm hoping to find answers to some questions I've been asking for my entire life and I hope it will go on to help thousands of others too."

Called Vicky Pattison: My Dad, Alcohol and Me, the one-off doc will air on Channel 4 later this year.
