Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first project for Netflix will be a docuseries about the 2022 edition of The Invictus Games.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's first project as part of their Netflix deal will be a docuseries about The Invictus Games, it has been announced.

Last year the Royal couple inked an agreement - rumoured to be worth nine figures - to produce numerous series and specials for the streaming service over the coming years.

The first will be Heart Of Invictus, a documentary about The Invictus Games, a multi-sport competition for injured servicemen and women that was created by Harry in 2013.

The series will follow competitors and they prepare for the next edition of the Games, due to take place next Spring in The Hague.

"Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of resilience, determination, and resolve," said Harry.

"This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year.

"As Archewell Productions' first series with Netflix, in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, I couldn't be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for continuously inspiring global healing, human potential and continued service."

The series is due for release in late 2022.
