Nicola Adams, Joel Dommett and Ryan Thomas have reportedly been filming a new Top Gear-style show for BBC Three.

According to The Sun, the new six-part series is called Gassed Up and is being positioned as "the funnier younger brother" of the long-running motoring show.

"They've managed to get together a decent starting lineup," a source told the newspaper. "So far Ryan, Nicola and Joel have all filmed challenges and the results have been really funny.

"All of them were really brave and up for everything. There are a few more stars yet to sign on the dotted line but it's hoped filming will be completed by October.

"Rapper Mist, real name Rhys Sylvester, is on board as the host. He is a car obsessive and was the perfect person to front the show.

"While the Beeb have Top Gear on BBC One, Gassed Up is going to be a bit like the funnier younger brother."

Gassed Up will apparently premiere in the new year, meaning that it is likely to be among the launch programming when BBC Three returns as a linear TV channel in January.
