ITV commissions a two-part documentary about Rolf Harris, who spent time in jail after being found guilty of sexual abuse of children at the peak of his fame.

ITV has commissioned a two-part "unique access" documentary examining the fall from grace of former TV presenter and singer Rolf Harris.

The Australian-born entertainer - now aged 92 - was one of the nation's most beloved figures from the 1970s into the noughties, but in 2013 he was arrested as part of Operation Yewtree following allegations that he had sexually abused children decades prior.

Harris was subsequently found guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault and spent three years in jail before being released in 2017 at the age of 87.

ITV's documentary, Rolf Harris: Hiding in Plain Sight, will feature interviews from his accusers, as well as the police who investigated him and his former colleagues.

Kate Teckman, ITV's commissioner for factual entertainment, said: "There are few stories as shocking as Rolf Harris.

"These films give a voice to Harris' accusers, and will reveal just how the seemingly wholesome 'national treasure' was able to molest and abuse his victims in plain sight."

The documentary is expected to air on ITV later this year.
