A special Halloween edition of Spitting Image will get an airing on ITV after its premiere on BritBox.

An upcoming special Halloween episode of Spitting Image will get an airing on ITV, it has been confirmed.

The second series of the satirical puppet show is currently being released weekly on BritBox and is said to be driving record subscriber levels to the service.

Last year a US election-themed episode aired on ITV to strong ratings, with 3.3 million viewers tuning in - more than 50% up on the slot average.

ITV is following that up this year with the broadcast of a Halloween special following the episode's first-look window on BritBox on Saturday, October 30.

New puppets introduced this series include Emma Raducanu, Sajid Javid, Gary Lineker and Raheem Sterling.
