Anne Diamond returns to GB News after five months off, revealing that she has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Broadcasting legend Anne Diamond has revealed that she has been undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

The 68-year-old joined GB News in early 2022 as presenter of Breakfast at weekends alongside Stephen Dixon, although she has been off the airwaves since New Year's Day.

Now she has returned to work on the channel, explaining that she was given her cancer diagnosis on the same day that she learned she would be receiving an OBE.

"You're often taught that if something good happens to you, something bad happens, to slap you back," she told colleague Dan Wootton.

"I haven't been on a world cruise, which is what a lot of social media has been saying. It hasn't been a world cruise, it has been a fight against breast cancer.

"Five months later, I am still not at the end of that journey, but I am well enough to return to work."

Diamond's first show back aired this morning.
