Tyra Banks steps down as host of Dancing With The Stars after three years in the role.

Tyra Banks has announced her exit from Dancing With The Stars after three years as host.

The former model controversially replaced original host Tom Bergeron in 2020 and has since gone on to preside over three seasons, including hosting the show's first season on Disney+ last year.

Revealing her departure to TMZ, she said: "I think it's time. Don't you think it's time? Yeah, I think it's time...

"I really, really want to focus on my business, and you can't do that hosting a show. You'll see me creating things, not just hosting things."

Banks was joined by Alfonso Ribeiro as a new co-host for last season, although whether he returns or will be paired up with someone new has yet to be confirmed.

Dancing With The Stars is due to return for its 32nd season Disney+ this September.
