HRVY compares Strictly partner Janette Manrara to his mother

Strictly Come Dancing favourite HRVY insists that he has no designs on pro partner Janette Manrara, comparing her to his mother.

Strictly Come Dancing's HRVY has compared his professional partner Janette Manrara to his mother.

The couple are among the favourites to win this series and have been praised by the judges for their chemistry, although some fans have speculated that their closeness could be more than professional.

Speaking to The Sun, however, the 21-year-old insisted that he has no designs on Manrara, who is 16 years his senior and married to fellow pro Aljaz Skorjanec.

"Janette is actually like my mum, so it couldn't be any further away from that," he said.

"She brings me bagels, she gives me vitamins in the morning, she makes sure I'm fed and watered. She's so like my mother.

"She's helped me out a lot. She's basically sorted my life, I can't really look after myself.

"So there's definitely no fear of the curse — plus her husband Aljaz is one good looking fella, so I don't think he'd be threatened by me at all."

The pair will take to the Strictly dancefloor again on Saturday night with a tango routine to Harry Styles's 'Golden'.
