Bruno Tonioli reportedly decides to quit Strictly Come Dancing in order to focus on Dancing With The Stars.

Bruno Tonioli has reportedly decided to quit Strictly Come Dancing in order to focus on Dancing With The Stars in the US.

If true, the news would leave Craig Revel Horwood as the only member of the judging panel to have appeared on the show since it started in 2004.

Due to coronavirus travel restrictions, Tonioli was unable to play a full part in the ballroom contest in 2020 and 2021 - and last year, Anton Du Beke stepped up to the panel to take his place.

Speculation has been rife over whether Tonioli or Du Beke - or possibly both - would be back this year, but the Daily Mail says that the 66-year-old Italian has made the decision to step down.

A source told the newspaper: "Bruno has quit the show for good. He's going to be a judge only on Dancing With The Stars from now on."

The BBC has yet to comment on the judging lineup for this year's series, which starts in September.
