Police charge reality TV star Stephen Bear over an alleged sex tape involving him and an ex-girlfriend.

Reality TV star Stephen Bear has been charged by police over an alleged 'revenge porn' video involving an ex-girlfriend.

The 31-year-old - a former winner of Celebrity Big Brother - was arrested in January upon his return to the UK from a holiday in Dubai and has now been formally charged.

Bear is accused of secretly filming himself having sex with his ex before sharing the video with friends, claims that he has previously dismissed as "so silly".

A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "A man has been charged in connection with an investigation into the disclosure of intimate photographs without consent.

"Stephen Bear, 31, of Loughton was arrested in January.

"He has now been charged with voyeurism, disclosing private, sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and harassment without violence."

Bear will now appear before Colchester Magistrates' Court on July 2.
