Prince William comments on Prince Philip's health

Prince William says that grandfather Prince Philip is "ok" as he reaches one week in hospital for a mystery illness.

Prince William has said that his grandfather Prince Philip is "OK" following his admission to hospital a week ago.

The 99-year-old was taken from Windsor Castle to the King Edward VII hospital in London last Tuesday night after he complained that he was feeling unwell.

The nature of the Duke's illness has not been disclosed, although fears were raised over the weekend when Prince Charles made a 200-mile round trip to visit him at the hospital.

William - second in line to the throne - was visiting a coronavirus vaccination centre in Norfolk earlier on Monday when he was asked about Philip's condition.

"Yes, he's OK," he replied, adding with a wink: "They're keeping an eye on him."

Buckingham Palace has yet to confirm whether Philip will be discharged in the coming days.
