Katie Price's guard dog Blade is killed in a road accident, becoming the seventh of her pets to die in as many years.

Katie Price's protection dog Blade has died after being hit by a car on a road next to her Sussex mansion.

The 45-year-old has now lost seven pets since 2017 - five dogs, a horse and a chameleon - mostly due to road traffic accidents, although one of her dogs died through suffocation after the family nanny accidentally sat on it.

Posting on Instagram, Price wrote: "Words can't express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today I have no words to say how I'm feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade."

Grove Lodge Veterinary Group, who responded to the incident, wrote on Facebook: "Unfortunately we have had a large shepherd dog handed into our OOH team last night.

"Found on the A24 near dial post. The dog does not have a microchip, however was wearing a brown Louis Vuitton collar."

An online petition calling for Price to be banned from owning pets has passed 33,000 signatures in the wake of the latest tragedy.
