RuPaul's Drag Race UK to resume filming imminently

Alan Carr reveals that the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race UK will resume filming in a fortnight's time after coronavirus interrupted production earlier this year.

RuPaul's Drag Race UK judge Alan Carr has revealed that the show's second season will resume filming in a fortnight's time.

The series had just begun filming its new season in March when the coronavirus pandemic forced production to be indefinitely halted, but the show now has the all-clear to resume.

The remaining queens in the competition are expected to form a bubble for the remainder of the shoot, allowing them to interact freely with each other in the workroom and during challenges.

Asked for an update on the show during an appearance on Lorraine, Carr - returning as a judge alongside Graham Norton - said: "I'm filming that in a fortnight's time, so that will be nice to just get that finished.

"It's also good for some of the drag queens who maybe their sewing wasn't that good, because in the lockdown, if they've got any sense, they'd be on that sewing machine, with that pedal down - no excuse!"

The show had been earmarked for release on BBC Three this month but due to the production delays is now likely to debut in January.
