Nick Grimshaw is reportedly poised to announce his exit from BBC Radio 1.

Nick Grimshaw will reportedly announce his departure from Radio 1 during his Drivetime show today.

The 36-year-old has been with the station since 2007 and previously hosted Breakfast between 2012 and 2018 before moving to his current 4pm-7pm slot.

The timeline for Grimshaw's exit is currently unclear, although The Mirror reports that Jordan North and Vick Hope will team up to take over his slot.

"Grimmy has loved every minute and done everything he ever dreamed of on Radio 1," a source told the newspaper.

"It has been a really hard decision but he is looking forward to the next chapter in his life.

"Grimmy will be a really hard act to follow but bosses are delighted that Jordan and Vick have agreed to team up as part of a new look Drivetime."

Grimshaw's departure comes during a year of change for Radio 1 that has also seen Annie Mac and Diplo leave the station.
