Tamar Braxton 'hospitalised after possible suicide attempt'

Singer and TV personality Tamar Braxton is reportedly hospitalised after an alleged suicide attempt.

Tamar Braxton is reportedly in hospital in Los Angeles after an alleged suicide attempt.

The 43-year-old singer and TV personality was staying at the Ritz Carlton when emergency services were called on Thursday night.

According to TMZ, Braxton's boyfriend David Adefeso told police that she had taken an overdose of pills and alcohol, having threatened suicide earlier in the day.

The couple have been filming a weekly YouTube series called Coupled & Quarantined during the coronavirus lockdown, with a new episode due to be released last night.

Instead a message on the YouTube channel said: "Hello y'all, unfortunately your girl Tamar is under the weather today and not feeling well so we need to postpone today's show (don't worry it's not COVID).

"We're sad because we had a great show lined up for you today, but next week's show is going to be even bigger and better.

"So sorry for the inconvenience, we know many of you look forward to the show every week. We'll make it up to you next week."

Braxton's current condition is unknown.
