"No foul play" in Netflix star Hana Kimura's death

Hana Kimura's management company announce that there was "no foul play" in the Terrace House star's tragic death at the weekend.

Wrestling company Stardom has issued a statement confirming that there was "no foul play" in the death of Hana Kimura over the weekend.

The 22-year-old, who starred in Netflix's Terrace House, was found dead after posting a string of alarming messages to social media.

Kimura had alluded to being bullied in the messages, while her final Instagram picture showed her cuddling her cat alongside the caption: "Goodbye."

In a statement on Twitter, Stardom wrote: "We would like to take this opportunity to apologize for your concern and sorrow due to the sudden passing of Stardom's Hana Kimura on May 23. According to the police report, there is no case of foul play.

"Regarding more details on the cause of death, we will refrain from publishing anything, according to the wishes of the bereaving family. We do not plan to announce the details here in any press conference or news releases. We kindly ask for your continued support."

The company added that Kimura will be laid to rest at a private ceremony, to be followed by a "memorial service" for fans to pay their respects at a later date.
