New Sky channels to launch on May 27

Sky confirms the launch date of Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature as May 27.

Sky has confirmed that its two new channels Sky Documentaries and Sky Nature will launch on May 27.

Over the last year the broadcaster has embarked upon a process of rebranding and adding to its channel portfolio, launching Sky Comedy and Sky Crime, as well as relaunching Sky Living as Sky Witness.

The new Sky Documentaries channel will feature a mix of programming from HBO, Showtime and Hulu alongside Sky originals, with launch programming including Hillary Clinton profile Hillary, gaming scam exposé McMillions and Muhammad Ali biography Ali Vs Cavett.

Sky Nature, meanwhile, will showcase natural history programming such as Wild Animal Babies, the David Attenborough collection and exclusive shows from specialist network Love Nature.

The History Channel and spinoff channel History2 will also rebrand on May 27, adopting the new names Sky History and Sky History 2.
