Liam Payne hints Zayn Malik may miss One Direction reunion

Liam Payne hints that Zayn Malik may not be part of One Direction's rumoured reunion this summer.

Liam Payne has suggested that Zayn Malik may be absent from One Direction's rumoured 10-year anniversary this summer.

Malik left the band a year before they went on hiatus in 2016 but was thought to be involved in talks for the anniversary project, which is likely to take the form of a TV special.

Discussing the potential reunion on Instagram live with friend DJ Alesso, Payne said: "I did speak to Niall (Horan) again on FaceTime today, and he was outside on his balcony sunbathing and whatever. He's in London as well.

"Most of us are in London. We've been trying to arrange the first group FaceTime at the moment. You can come in and fill in for Zayn and join the band."

The group are also thought to be considering the release of a new single to mark the milestone.
