Katie Price reveals son Harvey has lost 9lbs amid health battle

Katie Price reveals that her attempts to get son Harvey to lose weight are already starting to pay off.

Katie Price has shared the news that her disabled son Harvey has lost 4kg (9lbs) in a week after starting a new fitness regime.

The 18-year-old suffers from multiple afflictions including Prader-Willi Syndrome, which can cause significant weight gain, and over the last few months he has ballooned to more than 29 stone.

Earlier this year Harvey was taken to intensive care with breathing problems, prompting doctors to warn Katie that unless he gets his weight under control he is at risk of a premature death.

Katie and her boyfriend Carl Woods have built a home gym in an attempt to encourage Harvey to shed the pounds, and she has now revealed that it has already started to pay off.

"We've got some gym stuff for him and put it all in Carl's garage," she told OK! magazine.

"Prep Kitchen are also going to send meals to his school. We want to try anything to help him lose his weight. He's lost 4kg this week, so at least he's lost something."

Katie has previously opened up on the lengths she has had to go to in an effort to combat Harvey's weight gain, including putting padlocks on the fridge to stop him from snacking.
