Gemma Collins urges her fans to support Prime Minister Boris Johnson's efforts as the UK battles a second wave of coronavirus.

Gemma Collins has voiced her support for Prime Minister Boris Johnson as the UK battles a second wave of coronavirus.

The government is introducing stricter measures on social distancing with the threat of tougher rules to come as the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise around the country.

Johnson has suggested that the new restrictions are likely to be in place for at least six months, meaning that this Christmas could be a unique affair, and now Collins has urged her fans to do the right thing in order to "SAVE LIFES".

Posting on Instagram, she wrote: "Guys all jokes aside !!! We must listen to @borisjohnsonuk he's got a tough job on his hands !!!

"But he is trying to keep us all safe and we must support him. please take note this is not a joke this is real !!!

"LETS DO THIS we could SAVE Christmas 🎄and more importantly SAVE LIFES !!! Let's stop moaning !!!! And let's START DOING."

Collins, 39, recently declared that she could make a great Prime Minister, telling Johnson: "Move over Boris, the GC is in town."
