Ant Middleton will continue with his role on the Australian version of SAS: Who Dares Wins despite being dropped from the UK series by Channel 4.

Ant Middleton will continue to appear on the Australian edition of SAS: Who Dares Wins despite being fired by Channel 4 this week.

The broadcaster confirmed on Monday that it has parted ways with Middleton, 40, in a scathing statement that cited his "personal conduct" as the reason for the decision.

Last year Middleton was recruited to front the Aussie version of the show, which went down well in the ratings and is about to begin filming its second series.

A spokesperson for the Seven Network said: "Ant Middleton and his fellow DS [Directing Staff], Mark 'Billy' Billingham, Jason Fox and Ollie Ollerton, will all be returning for the second season of SAS Australia which is currently in pre-production."

Although Middleton has been let go by Channel 4, he will still be seen in the next series of the show - as well as a new series of the celebrity edition - as they were filmed last year.
