Girls Aloud are planning to reunite for a one-off gig to honour late band member Sarah Harding.

Harding died at the age of just 39 last September after battling with breast cancer for more than a year.

Now Nadine Coyle has confirmed that she will link up with Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh in an effort to raise money for cancer detection equipment.

"We're planning a night for an event to raise money in honour of Sarah," she is quoted as saying by The Sun. "We want to do something to help others.

"She's very much in the forefront of our minds. When she became unwell, a lot of my energy was focused on her.

"Her passing has been so devastating."

This year also marks 20 years since the group were formed on ITV's Popstars: The Rivals.
