Alec Baldwin denies pulling trigger in fatal gun incident on Rust set

Alec Baldwin claims that he did not pull the trigger of the gun during the fatal incident on set of the movie Rust in October.

Alec Baldwin has said that he did not pull the trigger of the gun which caused the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins during filming of the movie Rust in October.

Hutchins, 42, died after Baldwin was handed a gun during rehearsals which was supposed to be without live ammunition but somehow contained a bullet.

In his first sit-down TV interview since the incident, Baldwin told ABC's George Stephanopoulos: "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull a trigger at them. Never."

During the emotional interview, Baldwin also claims: "Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn't even supposed to be on the property."

The interview will air in full tonight in the US. Watch an extended preview below:
